Sun Microsystems move to Millennium City Center

Jones Lang LaSalle represented the global IT company in their 1136 sq m office relocation to TriGránit’s Millennium Tower II

Sun Microsystems will relocate their offices from Buda Business Center to Millennium Tower II during summer 2009. The international company will introduce a new office fit-out standard at this location and the new office building had to fulfil their special requirements. The new, efficient and user-friendly fit-out standards, called “NEXT GEN”, was introduced by Sun Microsystems globally and it is valid for their offices all over the world. The new fit-out is favourable for the employees as well; in addition to the rest rooms, larger kitchen and lounge, the partitioning of the offices will be built by using as much natural light as possible. Besides the modern interior design and the high quality server room, “NEXT GEN” places particular emphasis on protection of the environment. In the new office recyclable furniture and carpeting will be used.

Jones Lang LaSalle’s Tenant Representation team was assigned by Sun Microsystems to negotiate their lease agreement while the Project- and Development Services team was appointed to manage the “NEXT GEN” fit-out.
Jones Lang LaSalle started the project in Q3 2008 and Millennium Tower II proved to be ideal for Sun Microsystems at the very beginning of the office search. The dynamic and modern building can easily adapt to the flexibility, efficiency and environmental requirements of Sun Microsystems.
